We test padel courts and 3G pitches on-site. At handover, before you authorise final payment, or periodically, to track how your surface performs as it ages.
Sports surfaces degrade regardless of how well they are installed. We can provide independent in-situ verification at two points in the lifecycle: at handover, before final payment is authorised, and periodically thereafter to support maintenance planning and document due diligence.
Surfacing materials are lab-tested before installation. The finished court is a different system entirely, shaped by sub-base preparation, infill application, and workmanship. SAPCA has warned that because so many courts are being built quickly to meet demand, some are not being built well. We audit the installed surface against specification before you authorise final payment, while remediation is still the contractor's responsibility.
All padel surfaces degrade through compaction and fibre wear. Periodic testing provides a time-stamped record of surface condition to support maintenance planning, protect warranties, and demonstrate duty of care to insurers and governing bodies.
Before committing to a formal FA or FIFA certification process, an independent pre-certification audit identifies any performance shortfalls in the installed surface. We measure against the relevant benchmarks so you know where the pitch stands before an accredited test is commissioned.
3G surfaces degrade through rubber crumb migration, fibre wear, and infill compaction. Periodic independent testing provides objective evidence of surface condition for warranty claims, maintenance planning, and duty of care documentation.
A note on accreditation. We are independent auditors, and are not accredited by the FA. Our testing strictly follows FA governing body standards, so results are meaningful and directly comparable to those of an accredited laboratory. Because we operate independently rather than as a formal testing house, we are able to offer this at a more accessible rate. For formal FA Pitch Register certification, testing by an accredited laboratory is required. Our pre-certification audits are designed to identify any shortfalls before that process is commissioned.
Leisure centres, schools, multi-sport facilities, and any site with a formal Health and Safety requirement can commission slip resistance testing independently of a full surface audit. The result is documented in a written report suitable for H&S files, risk assessments, and insurance records.
A written report recording the slip resistance value of your surface under both wet and dry conditions. Suitable for risk assessments, insurance records, Health and Safety compliance files, and legal documentation.
Every test is carried out on your court or pitch using calibrated specialist equipment. Results are benchmarked against the relevant standard for your surface type.
Detects dips, ridges, or settlement using a 3m straight-edge. Flags sub-base issues before they become structural problems.
Measures how quickly water drains through the surface. Identifies drainage failure or the risk of sub-base saturation.
Grid-point measurement of sand fill levels across the court. Uneven infill is the most common installation defect.
Measures how well the surface absorbs impact. Low readings increase injury risk for players.
Tests bounce consistency at multiple points across the court. Identifies dead spots caused by uneven sand distribution.
Measures how easily a boot rotates in the surface. Monitors ankle-lock risk from compacted or matted infill.
Detects dips, ridges, or settlement using a 3m straight-edge. Flags sub-base issues before they become structural problems.
Measures how the surface compresses under load. Indicates sub-base compaction and affects player comfort.
Grid-point measurement of rubber crumb levels across the pitch. Uneven distribution affects play quality and accelerates wear.
Tests bounce consistency to identify areas of infill loss or uneven surface wear.
Measures impact absorption against FIFA and FA benchmarks. Directly relevant to player welfare and certification requirements.
BS 7976-2 testing under wet and dry conditions. Produces a documented slip resistance value for H&S files, risk assessments, and insurance records.
Tell us about your surface and what you need. We'll confirm the right tests for your site, send over a quote and arrange a visit.
Testing is carried out on the day by a trained operator using calibrated specialist equipment.
A written report benchmarked against the relevant standard for your surface type, ready to present to insurers, governing bodies, or legal counsel.
Tell us about your surface and we'll discuss the right audit for your site.
After handover, there is no other independent record of surface condition unless we help you create one.
